"My stay in North Bay, Canada has been one of the most beautiful experiences in my life, having lived with a Canadian family for 10 months allowed me to know the country's culture and practice the language. Being EICI student gave me the opportunity to see several cities such as Toronto, Ottawa, Niagara Falls, Quebec. I met new friends and I enjoyed practicing activities like Snowboarding and skiing, also I had excellent teachers who supported me during my school year. I think I learned a lot. I hope one day I can come back to North Bay."
EICI @ North Bay great choice, absolutely a remarkable year in my life, it’s a great experience that will give you the opportunity not only to learn English but also to get to know Canadian people; I had so much fun with my host family and getting to know more Canadians. It also
gave me the opportunity to be independent. The city it’s great and safe, so you can hang out everywhere, like going to the movies or shopping. Prepare for extreme cold weather and enjoy it a lot; Go skiing to the hills and enjoy the cultural trips, believe me, you will never regret it!!!!
North Bay is a small but beautiful city where you can have a lot of fun. It’s a nice place to live in and to make friends. I was so connected to my host family and I never felt homesick, they were so funny and made it feel like home for me. My English improved a lot here because you can practice the language whenever you want. I used to love going shopping to the North Gate Square Mall. The food was great and the people were very friendly. I also made great friends and I still keep in touch with them. You will love the trips to Quebec, Montreal, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Winter camp, etc. I bet you will enjoy the year!
Studying at English for International Communication Institute has been one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had. During the time I studied there, I met excellent and well-trained teachers who were always willing to help me in my language learning process,
specially, with regards to improving my oral and written communication skills. Moreover, North Bay is a great place to live. It is a safe, well-planned city, and its citizens are kind and friendly. I had the opportunity to go on all the trips organized by EICI having an incredible time with my classmates while discovering Canada. In addition, in my personal view, living with a Canadian host family helped me understand the culture and improve my language proficiency in English. Also, I think that living away from home helped me become more
independent and confident. Overall, living in Canada and studying in EICI marked a turning point in my life that I will never forget.
The year I spent at EICI, living in North Bay, has been the best experience in my whole life. I had lots of fun, I met amazing people, I learned English, and I also went to beautiful places. My host family helped me a lot, because they made me feel as comfortable as if I was living in my own house. They became a real family for me. The teachers and the principal at the school definitely put their best effort on helping us learn and practice our English. My level of English improved amazingly – now I feel comfortable speaking, listening and writing in English. I loved everything about living in North Bay, and I would definitely go back without having to think about it twice. I'm really thankful to everyone who helped and supported me the whole time I lived there. I totally enjoyed every moment of this experience!
My name is Luis Fernando Chaves Urquides, and I think that studying in EICI is an unforgettable experience. I was in North Bay during the years 2011-2012, I had an experience that I know I will never forget. My English level is now improved, and I really think that EICI
helped. I learned a lot of English, and about Canadian culture. EICI and my memories are always with me, and I hope other people can share moments like mine at EICI.
Going a year abroad and studying in Canada was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made; mainly because it was a unique and rewarding experience where I didn’t just learned English but also basic French. I had the opportunity of getting acquainted with a different culture,
visiting different provinces such as Ontario and Quebec and practicing different sports such as snowshoeing and skiing. Unquestionably, this has been one of the best years in my life thanks to my host family and friends.
